Shubham Arya, Show Caller and Show Director
I am an auteur, and you only go live once. I am Shubham Arya, a show caller, show runner and show director. I direct live experiences and films, globally.
About Shubham Arya
Every show is a single frame that happens once, in one room, with one take. The direction of that frame is my craft. I have spent nearly a decade directing across corporate shows, government shows, concerts, cultural evenings, product launches, award nights and conferences. The stage keeps changing. The instinct only deepens.
I know rooms the way I know music. Rhythm. Before I move, I listen. Understanding always comes first, and the shape of the show follows from it. I direct across films and live experiences, and each sharpens the other. Every element of a show lands with intention, from the lights and the music, to the walk on, to the video cue, to the pause that holds them together.
This is the work of an auteur. I direct, and I call, wherever the stage is. I am based in Delhi NCR and I work worldwide.

On the missing director
Why every corporate event in India feels the same, and what it would take to fix that. In cinema, the person who owns the whole is the director. Live experiences deserve the same figure: someone whose role is to hold the intent of the entire evening in one head, to decide what the room should feel at every moment, to call the cue that opens the doors of the audience's attention. A producer keeps the plan from breaking. A director shapes what the plan was in the first place.
The cue is a script
Show calling is the moment by moment authorship of live time, written at the speed the room is moving. A cue is a moment of decision. The person calling cues from the console is writing, in real time, while the show happens. The cue sheet is not a spreadsheet. It is a score for a piece that will be performed once, with living instruments who cannot be re-recorded.
Rooms and rhythm
The best show directors read rooms the way musicians read music. Both are pattern recognition beneath a surface. A room breathes. When it is with a show, its listening gets deeper. The most useful thing a show director does over a two hour evening is listen to the room and let the room shape the show. Not the script. The room.
